Hi there. I’m Angel. I work as a research consultant in the Canadian Arctic, west coast, and beyond to help communities record, control, and mobilize their knowledge.
I grew up in the prairies and moved to the rainy west coast in 2017 to attend the University of Victoria and study tundra vegetation dynamics in the western Canadian Arctic. You can read about some of my research on the implications of warming temperatures on tundra communities in Remote Sensing of Environment here.
This is a platform where I share occasional writing, photography, and personal projects. Some of my many other interests include cycling, hiking, reading everything (novels, magazines, journals, cereal boxes..), crafting, and just about anything that could be considered an adventure. For now, I can be found on Lekwungen and WSÁNEĆ territories, usually riding my bike.
