About
Hi there, I’m Angel. I grew up in the prairies and moved to the rainy west coast in 2017 to study tundra vegetation dynamics in the western Canadian Arctic. You can read about some of my research on the implications of climate change on tundra communities in Remote Sensing of Environment here or in Arctic Science here. I mostly spend my days south of the treeline now, watching for smoke from my fire tower in Alberta, or cycling, hiking, and paddling around Vancouver Island.
You can occasionally find me here, sharing glimpses of my life through personal writing and photography.
